Chardonnay 2018 Platinum Collection
To create each Platinum Collection wine we start in our vineyard by selecting individual rows of vines which consistently produce the finest grapes. These vines receive meticulous care at every stage from pruning to harvest. The same precise care is given to each wine during fermentation and aging. Ten barrels were selected and blended to provide the absolute best expression of our estate Chardonnay. Elegant fruit with Meyer lemon, pear and white peach leads to a rich palate and lemon cream finish.

Aged for 11 months in French oak barrels (3 new, 5 one year old).
Grapes picked in the cool mornings and immediately pressed. After settling, the clear juice was racked into French oak barrels and fermented at a cool temperature to retain fresh fruit flavors while gaining roundness during barrel fermentation. 100% MLF
This elegant Chardonnay has a rich mouthfeel with flavors of fresh apricot and lemon cream and a long deep finish
Our benchland and mountain-top soils combine with vigor-limiting rootstock to yield intense fruit flavors from smaller berries. For this PLATINUM COLLECTION Chardonnay, we selected four barrels from our benchland block of Robert Young clone (rich, lush fruit), and four barrels from our mountain-top block of clone 76 (bright on the palate, complex flavor, elegant structure).
Food Pairing Notes
Pair with meaty fish (halibut, cod), and shellfish (lobster, shrimp, crab, scallops) and with subtly flavored, simply seasoned poultry and pork dishes.
