Le Bon Cochon 2018 Dry Creek Valley

Le Bon Cochon 2018 Dry Creek Valley

Le Bon Cochon is succulent red wine raised in our vineyard at the edge of the Coast Range forest. Like any good pig, it rooted under the fence to wallow in the flavors of our grapes. With juicy red fruit and savory spice, this wine satisfies after a hard day's work on the farm or easy Sunday picnics down by the stream.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
With concentrated aromas of dark blackberry, ripe plum, with spice and vanilla notes, this palate-coating red offers up impressive power as well as wonderful balance.
Vineyard Notes
The Zinfandel is from two mountain-top blocks (DuPratt and Primitivo clones) that produce extremely concentrated fruit, and the Syrah is from our benchland block (Estrella River clone) which produces rich full Syrah flavor.
Food Pairing Notes
A perfect wine for a backyard barbecue as it pairs nicely with a variety of charred meats, such as brisket and ribs, as well as hearty vegetables from the grill.
