Petit Verdot 2017 Dry Creek Valley
Michel-Schlumberger's well-drained benchland soils set the stage for our Petit Verdot grapes to develop into a wine with wonderful layers of dark fruit flavor, finely-integrated tannins and an oppulent finish.

Average brix: 27.0
Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (25% new).
The grapes were crushed into small fermenters. After cold-soaking for three days to extract rich color, the must fermented on the skins for three weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine.
This Petit Verdot has a beautiful deep ruby color, concentrated blueberry and violet nose, and dense black currant and blueberry flavors, full structure and a long fruit finish.
This wine is made from our hillside block of Petit Verdot. With excellent rootstock and clone selections, perfect microclimate and classic red soil, these Petit Verdot grapes consistently produce wonderfully rich flavors.
Food Pairing Notes
