Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
With notes of Anjou pear, white peach and rose petals, this wine has a refreshing crispness. The nose is almond, light spice and fruitiness with a palate of bright acidity, fresh floral, and white peach flavors.
Vineyard Notes
This “La Bise” is made in a fresh crisp style (as in Alsace) from Pinot Blanc vines planted in the coolest areas of our benchland vineyards. A small amount of Gewurztraminer inter-planted among the Pinot Blanc vines adds an extra hint of Alsatian brightness. Picked at low sugar, and fermented at very cool temperatures, this wine has a refreshing crispness and wonderful fresh fruit and floral flavors.
Production Notes
The grapes were picked in the cool mornings and immediately pressed. After settling, the clear juice was racked into stainless tank and fermented at a very cool temperature to retain fresh fruit flavors.
Food Pairing Notes
This Pinot Blanc pairs nicely with roast chicken, salad, and other light meats. Mild cheeses, pasta, and creamy or acidic sauces are also excellent choices.
