Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Aromas of dark plum with overtones of vanilla and blueberry, with a palate of rich layered plum and blueberry flavors, lush mouthfeel and long fruit finish.
Vineyard Notes
This wine is a blend of the best aspects of the two clones of Syrah grown at our estate. Our hillside benchland block of Estrella River clone (75%) add layers of lush fruit flavor and full roundness, and our mountaintop block of clone 470 (25%) adds its intensely concentrated color and complex structure.
Food Pairing Notes
Enjoy this Syrah with savory cheeses and charcuterie, a roasted lamb, and grilled barbeque meat or mushrooms.
