Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The epitome of poise with its aromatics of black cherry and plum, this wine is made from our estate wines -- Merlot, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with splashes of Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Syrah. This "Wine of the Hillsides" is structured yet fruity, with bright acidity and a bold oak character.
Vineyard Notes
Our estate vineyard lies in the western hillsides above the upper reach of the Dry Creek Valley. Benchland soils (=depth and fullness) and mountain-top soils (=complexity and structure), combine with vigor-limiting rootstock and limited irrigation to yield intense fruit flavors from smaller berries. This well-structured red wine blend highlights the quality of flavors from our estate.
Food Pairing Notes
Enjoy a bottle with filet mignon or roasted chicken or lamb.
