Vineyard Notes

Located at 1700 ft. elevation on Howell Mountain, this small vineyard was planted to several clones of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1998.  Dense spacing of the vines brings greater concentration to the fruit.  The classic Howell Mountain soil consists of volcanic tuff rock in various stages of decomposition.

Production Notes

Fermentation:  The grapes were crushed into small fermenters.  After “cold-soaking” to extract rich color, the crushed grapes fermented for two weeks to fully develop a rich mouthfeel and palate.

Cooperage / Aging:  The wine was aged for 24 months in French oak barrels (50% new).

Bottling Date:  November 21, 2016
