Crafted from a ''field blend" of grapes grown in our finest mountain-top and benchland blocks, this wine has a full palate of rich and seamlessly integrated flavors.
This MAGNUM COLLECTION wine is made from grapes grown at Michel-Schlumberger estate vineyard in Dry Creek Valley. Our winemaker carefully selected individual barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot to achieve the optimum expression of flavor for this “Red Field Blend”.
Harvest: Sept 29th to Oct 13th, 2014
Fermentation: The grapes were crushed into small fermenters. After cold-soaking for three days to extract rich color, the must fermented on the skins for three weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine.
Cooperage / Aging: Aged for 19 months in French oak barrels.
