Nine barrels of the finest red wines from our bench land and mountaintop blocks were blended to create this optimum expression of Bordeaux-style red wine flavor.
To create each Platinum Collection wine we start in our vineyard by selecting individual rows of vines which consistently produce the finest grapes. These vines receive meticulous care at every stage from pruning to harvest. The same precise care is given to each wine during fermentation, aging and blending to provide the absolute best expression of our estate. With wonderful aromas of dark fruit, violets and vanilla, this richly textured wine has a lush finish of dark plum and wild blueberry.
This PLATINUM COLLECTION “Rêvez en Rouge” Red Wine showcases the depth of flavor that our estate vineyards can produce. Nine barrels of the finest red wines from our benchland and mountaintop blocks were blended to create this optimum expression of Bordeaux-style red wine flavor.
Harvest: Sept 26th to Oct 17th, 2017
Fermentation: The grapes were crushed into small fermenters. After cold-soaking for three days to extract rich color, the must fermented on the skins for three weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine.
Cooperage / Aging: Aged for 21 months in finest “tight-grain” French oak barrels (50% new).
