Despite Jacques Schlumberger declaring that he would plant Zinfandel "when pigs fly," small blocks of this distinctive varietal were planted at Michel-Schlumberger. These vines now produce our rare, dense, fruit-driven "Cochons Sauvages" (Wild Pigs) Zinfandel.
With rich blackberry and cherry notes, this wines is an excellent complement to barbecued or pulled pork and tomato based pasta dishes.
Our Zinfandel vines are grown in thin, red mountaintop soils and produce grapes of exceptionally concentrated flavors.
